Round bodies, big ears and little tails: the two pigs on this sheet are simple shapes that leave plenty of room for coloring. Under them, SCHWEIN is the German word and PIG the English one. With seven letters, Schwein fills the whole line, while PIG looks very short by comparison.
Tracing tips for these letters
SCHWEIN starts with S and C, two curved letters in a row, each drawn as one stroke. The W is one long zigzag from its first numbered dot, so it may help to trace it slowly with a finger first. The letters on this line are a little smaller to fit. In PIG, the P is a stem and a bowl, and the G curves around in a single movement.
Ways to use it with your child
- Oink together, then clap once for "pig" and once for "Schwein".
- Color the two pigs pink, or choose any other color and see how funny they look.
- Find the letter I, which is in both words, and circle it each time.
How to print it
Print at 100 percent with no scaling, so the tracing letters come out at the size they were drawn for. Black and white is fine.
