Long ears, big front teeth and round feet make the two rabbits on this sheet fun to color. They are identical, with an equals sign between them. The tracing section shows HASE in German and RABBIT in English. Hase has two letters fewer than the English word beneath it.
Tracing tips for these letters
RABBIT has a double B, and each B takes three strokes: the stem, the top bump, then the bottom bump. R adds one more step: stem, bowl, then a third stroke for the leg. In HASE, the S is drawn in one go from its numbered dot, curving one way and then the other. The E needs four strokes, so it may be worth a pause between each.
Ways to use it with your child
- Hop across the room, saying "rabbit" on one hop and "Hase" on the next.
- Count the ears, feet and front teeth on one rabbit before coloring.
- Pick out the two B letters in RABBIT and color around them with a favorite crayon.
How to print it
Print at 100 percent with no scaling, so the tracing letters come out at the size they were drawn for. Black and white is fine.
