A huge outlined 1 stands on the left, an equals sign in the middle and a single large apple on the right. It is the simplest sheet in the numbers set: one digit, one apple. Below that, your child traces EINS, German for one, and the English ONE.
Tracing tips for these letters
The big digit is an outline to color and has no arrows, so the tracing happens in the words below it. In ONE, the O goes around in one stroke from its numbered dot. The N takes three strokes. EINS finishes with an S, which changes direction halfway, so going slowly there is sensible.
Ways to use it with your child
- Put one real apple on the table next to the sheet and say both words.
- Hold up one finger, then ask your child to find just one spoon, one sock, one book.
- Color the apple in a real apple color, such as red, green or yellow.
How to print it
Print at 100 percent with no scaling, so the tracing letters come out at the size they were drawn for. Black and white is fine.
