Your child colors both panels, then moves down the page to ZWEI in German and TWO in English. The German Z is a sharper sound than the English one. Tracing tips for these letters

Z and W sit next to each other at the start of ZWEI, and both are one-stroke zigzags, so the word opens with plenty of sharp turns. In TWO, the T starts with its stem and adds the top bar second. The big 2 is an outline with no arrows. If your child wants to write one on spare paper, one option is a curve over the top, a slant down to the left, then a flat line along the bottom.

Ways to use it with your child

• Find pairs around the house: two shoes, two gloves, two socks.
• Clap twice, then say "two" and "zwei".
• Point to your own eyes, ears and hands and count each pair together.

How to print it

Print at 100 percent with no scaling, so the tracing letters come out at the size they were drawn for. Black and white is fine.
