Three apples are arranged in a little triangle next to a large outlined 3. After coloring them, your child moves on to DREI and THREE. THREE is noticeably longer than DREI, and the two words share the letters R and E.
Tracing tips for these letters
THREE ends with a double E, which means eight strokes in a row, so a short break before the last letter is fine. The H has its crossbar as stroke 3, after both uprights. D in DREI starts with the stem, then the bowl. The big 3 is for coloring only and has no arrows. To write one on another sheet, show your child two bumps facing right, one on top of the other.
Ways to use it with your child
- Count three things in the room, such as three chairs or three cushions.
- Set three pieces of fruit in a triangle like the apples on the page.
- Jump three times, saying "drei" on the last jump and "three" on the next round.
How to print it
Print at 100 percent with no scaling, so the tracing letters come out at the size they were drawn for. Black and white is fine.
