A plain, angular 7 faces seven apples set out in rows of three, two and two. The German SIEBEN and English SEVEN on this sheet look like close relatives: both open with S and contain E and N. The two words make a good pair for comparing letter by letter.
Tracing tips for these letters
SIEBEN has a B in the middle, drawn in three numbered strokes: the stem, the top bump, then the bottom bump. V in SEVEN goes down and up in one stroke, and this line has two E letters of four strokes each. The S at the start of each word is a single curve. The outlined 7 is for coloring and has no arrows.
Ways to use it with your child
- Name the seven days of the week while pointing to each apple in turn.
- Trace S, E and N in one color wherever they appear in both words.
- Lay out seven buttons or coins in the same three-two-two pattern.
How to print it
Print at 100 percent with no scaling, so the tracing letters come out at the size they were drawn for. Black and white is fine.
